My Project:

I used Petal Pink Crinkle Ribbon on the card and the box.

The border punch is from Martha Stewart.  The cupcake is cut at 2" (Sweet Treats cartridge) and the stamped sentiments all come from The Pink Stamper. The pretty scalloped square is from Gypsy Wanderings.  I also used glitter, glitter glue, flower eyelet and setter, button, and Dimensionals.

Favorites from 2010 - October, November & December

In October, I started selling my hand dyed Crinkle Ribbon! THANK YOU for making this a success!!  I have so much fun coming up with new colors!  In fact, I have 5 brand new colors coming out tomorrow!  Yeah!!

Here are some of my favorite projects from October and November!

Ewe are the Best!:

I used the Vanilla Bean Crinkle Ribbon, a button and some twine.

Bow tying video tutorial:

I love tying bows with Crinkle Ribbon!! It makes it a little easier to get 'WOW' results than with other types of ribbons.  I have to confess that I am not perfect at tying bows, but this video shows how I tie a few different types of bows to give my projects a little shabby vintage charm.

Trick or Treat!:

I used "Marmalade" Crinkle ribbon on this card. Click here for original post.

Warmest Winter Wishes:

I used Sea Foam Crinkle Ribbon for the bow and a crocheted flower, button, and thread. Click here to see the original post.

I discovered Peachy Keen Face Stamps in 2010:

I love the Peachy Keen face stamps!

I uploaded lots of pictures of these ornaments!  Click here to see them all!

Bee-lated Birthday:

I used Milk Chocolate Crinkle Ribbon to tie the soft, crinkly bow.  Click here for more details.

I discovered how much fun Fun Flock really is!

Fun Flocked deer:

This cute, furry deer is from the Create a Critter cartridge. Be sure to watch the video below to see how to apply the Fun Flock to the deer.  It is super easy!

More Fun Flock and some Flower Soft:

I used Fun Flock and Flower Soft to make the poodle 'furry'. One of my favorite parts on this card is the crepe paper ruffle and the black stitching (see video for tutorial)

This first video shows how I made the crepe paper ruffle and how to sew around the card base:

Favorites from 2010 - March

In March I started doing videos!

My First Video:

Episode 1:  Cricut Forever Young Purse

Gypsy Border Punch Video:

I love border punches, but I only own 2! :-)  First, they are a bit pricey, and I would rather spend the money on Cartridges. Second they take up a lot of space.  Third, I have about 20 that I have designed on my Gypsy so I don't actually need to buy them!  In this video I show you how to design a simple border punch with your Gypsy.

Here are links to a couple of cards I have made using 'border punches' that I designed on my Gypsy:

Easter Card
Sweet Treats Cake Card

8x8 Heritage Album:

Favorites from 2010 - February

Here are some of my favorites from February!

Heart Warming Bunny:

I had this patterned paper from Wild Asparagus that I love and wanted to use for a card, so this is what I came up with.  The bunny is from the Winter Woodland cartridge (p. 58) cut at 2 1/2 inches with the shadow and layers. Click here for more pictures!

Dinosaur Happy Birthday:

I love this cricut cartridge!!! I used my gypsy, so I am not sure on the exact cut sizes. The card is 6x6. The rocks are backgrounds for fossils that I crumpled and inked. Click here for a tutorial showing how I made the T-Rex. Click here for a tutorial showing how I made the palm tree.

Favorites from 2010 - January

I have been blogging for almost a year now and thought it would be fun to go back and look at favorite projects in 2010!  So . . . let's start with January:

Dimensional Flowers Scrapbook page:

I used the Walk in my Garden, Home Decor and Home Accents cartridges on this page.

Click here for a picture tutorial showing  how to make these flower!

Bicycle Built For Two:

I was thinking of my grandparents when I made this card. All have passed away now, my Grandpa just two months ago, so I am so glad I was able to send him this card while he was still with us.  My Grandpa used to sing this song:

Daisy, Daisy,
Give me your answer do!
I'm half crazy,
All for the love of you!
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage
But you'll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle made for two.

Cricut cartridges used: Sweethearts, paper doll dress ups and gypsy wanderings.

Dimensional Glaze tutorial:

Step 1: Cut the cherry out twice at 3" (fits the 3" cupcake) from red and brown cardstock. This cut is on the cricut Home Decor cartridge.

Step 2: Cut the stem off the red cherry.

Step 3: Put the red cherry through your xyron sticker machine UPSIDE DOWN so that the adhesive is on the top.

Step 4: Cover with red glitter.

Step 5: Apply dimensional glaze around outside edges of cherry.

Step 6: Fill in the center with dimensional glaze.

Step 7: Let dry, then layer on top of brown cherry die cut.

Looks good enough to eat! (well, almost)
