There's Snow Place like Home!

Hey everyone!  Hope you had a great weekend!

This is card was inspired by a couple of cards I saw on the Cricut Messageboard last year, so I can't take credit for this design.  :-)  I wish I could remember who made them!  Anyway, this is my take:

Here is the inside of the card.  The stamp is from the new My Pink Stamper stamp set (Winter Punnies) on pre-order right now and available the first week of September! Robyn is giving this cute stamp set away on her blog!!!  All you have to do is make a winter themed card and link it to her challenge post by Wednesday morning.  Click here!

Close up shots:

I don't have exact measurements.  Just play around on your gypsy until everything lines up the way you want it behind the window.  I used dimensionals on the window and cut it out twice.  Also used my cuttlebug on the white background (swiss dots).  The snow is flower soft and all of the cuts are from the Christmas Solutions cartridge.

Halloween treat box!

I made this fun treat box using Paper Doll Dress Ups (Mummy, frame on box lid) & Tags Bags Boxes and More. This box is the same as the owl box except I used the coffin from Paper Doll Dress ups and my Gypsy to make a window for the lid.

The fun stamp (for my friend) is one of the new releases from My Pink Stamper! I love all of Robyn's new stamps!!!! This one is from the Everyday Life set which I just got today and is definitely a new favorite!  The sayings from this set go with just about anything!  (They are available for pre-order)

I lined the inside of the treat box with patterned paper and a spider.  I can't remember which cartridge I used for the spiders.  I like to keep extra die cuts in small drawers labeled by holiday so I can just pull them out for inspiration or when I am in a hurry.  (I may have to make a video showing this)

Have a great weekend!!

Halloween - a little early!

I am starting to see ads for all of the fun new Halloween products coming out this year, and they are cute!!  Halloween will be here before we know it!  Here are some Halloween layouts and cards I posted when I first started this blog in January.  Just click on the link to see the original posts:

Halloween Layout:

I have added .cut files for the border!!!

Boo!:  This is a halloween card I made using the Paper Doll Dress Ups cartridge. The card is 5 1/2" square.  I made this card before I started keeping track of the cut sizes and instructions.  Ooops!

This halloween card is on the Wild Card Cartridge.  The overall card is 5 1/2", but I can't remember what I cut it at. I ran the spider web through my xyron and added glitter. I sewed a zig-zag stich around the outer edge.  I also inked the edges of the pumkin  and grass to give it a shaded look:

Can't wait to start making halloween treat boxes and scrapbook layouts!  Have a great weekend!!!!

Hogs & Kisses - Fun Flock and fancy border

I had so much fun making this card!  All of the cuts on this card come from the Just Because Cards Cartridge,  I used Fun Flock on the letters and part of the pig.

More Fun Flock and some Flower Soft - Poodles of laughter - MPS

This is my design team project for My Pink Stamper!  Click here to see great projects from the rest of the design team!

I had so much fun making this card!  I used Fun Flock and Flower Soft to make the poodle 'furry'.  I also made the white ruffle under the ribbon with crepe paper. Super easy!

The poodle on this card was cut from the Create a Critter cartridge and the cute stamp came from My Pink Stamper.  Check out the videos below to see how to apply the flock and the flower soft!

One of my favorite parts on this card is the crepe paper ruffle and the black stitching (see video for tutorial).

Here are some close up shots of the poodle:

This first video shows how I made the crepe paper ruffle and how to sew around the card base:

Part 2 shows how I made the poodle, including how to apply fun flock and flower soft.  Enjoy!:

Fun flock is so fun and easy! - You're a deer card

This cute, furry deer is from the Create a Critter cartridge. Be sure to watch the video below to see how to apply the Fun Flock to the deer.  It is super easy!

Close up look at the Fun Flock:

I used glossy accents for the hoofs and the nose.  Wouldn't he make a cute Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer for a Christmas card?  I may have to try that later!:

The first video shows the fun flocking:

This video shows how to put the whole card together:
