Ewe are the best!

This card was published in the June/July 2011 Cricut Cards Magazine!!  (p. 117)

The Sheep came from the Just Because Cards cartridge (cut at 6").  I used a Martha Stewart edge punch, Crinkle Ribbon, Crate Paper patterned cardstock and Glossy Accents to make the dark brown and accents on the sheep stand out and look shiny.

I used the Vanilla Bean Crinkle Ribbon, a button and some twine.  Stamped sentiments are from My Pink Stamper

Crinkle Ribbon: Bow Tying tutorial!

I love tying bows with Crinkle Ribbon!! It makes it a little easier to get 'WOW' results than with other types of ribbons.  I have to confess that I am not perfect at tying bows, but this video shows how I tie a few different types of bows to give my projects a little shabby vintage charm.  Scroll down for pictures too!

I will be adding new colors of Hand Dyed Ribbon to my blog soon!

My Pink Design Team Project - Winter Wishes

Hi Everyone!  I had so much fun making this card! I tried a new technique!! I used one of the snow flake stamps from Winter Punnies to make my own background paper! First I stamped snowflakes on the red cardstock with embossing ink.  Then I sprinkled on clear embossing powder and tapped it off.  Next, I used my heat tool to melt the embossing powder.  While the embossed snowflakes were still hot, I sprinkled glitter on top. (I sometimes had to reheat the snowflakes as I went.)
Here is the 'recipe' for this card:  Snow Friends Cricut Cartridge, My Pink Stamper Stamps (Winter Punnies), Crinkle Ribbon, Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face Parts, Martha Stewart punch, Glossy accents, Embossing ink and clear embossing powder for the snowflakes, ink, glitter, and cardstock.
Have a great day!!

I have added Vintage Style Crinkle Ribbon to My Craft Store!!

I recently discovered vintage style crinkle ribbon and absolutely love it!!  The hand dyed colors are rich and beautiful!  Some of the colors are 'aged' (slightly stained with a darker shade) to look like a treasure found in grandma's sewing basked.  The texture is soft, silky, and crinkly.  I love using this vintage ribbon on my cards, scrapbook pages, tags, gifts and packages! This ribbon is equally lovely ironed flat!  Click here to see projects I have made using this wonderful ribbon!

Click here to see all of the rich colors and to purchase some of this beautiful hand dyed ribbon.  You can also click on the "Hand Dyed Crinkle Ribbon" tab at the top of my blog. (Shipping is free!)

Crinkle ribbon is so easy to tie bows with and is very forgiving!  You don't have to be great at tying bows to make this look wonderful on your projects.  I will post a video showing how to tie a variety of bows with Crinkle Ribbon, hopefully this week!

More Halloween cards - Vintage Crinkle Ribbon!

Here are some cards I made using Hand Dyed Vintage Crinkle Ribbon:

I used "Toadally Green" Crinkle ribbon on this card.  The stamp is from My Pink Stamper (Spooky Puns).  The moon is from George and the witch is from A Child's Year.

I used "Midnight Black" Crinkle Ribbon for this tag.  The spider stamp is from Stampin' up and the sentiment I typed on my computer.

Spooky Halloween Tag - Peachy Keen #38

Hi Everyone!

Update:  FREE SHIPPING* on everything in my store!!  (*email me for rates outside the continental U.S.)

I had so much fun making this tag! I love doing the faces with Peachy Keen Stamps and I love trying new things!  I discovered Crinkled/distressed ribbon and tried it on this project!!

For this tag I used The following cartridges:  Paper Doll Dress Ups (grass, tree, cat), A Child's Year (witch) and George (moon, pumpkin).

The green ribbon is from JoAnn's and the Black Ribbon I hand distressed/crinkled to 'look spooky'! I am hand dyeing and crinkling a few more batches of this great ribbon this weekend and hopefully will have some up on my blog early next week for you to purchase if you are interested!  I am having a great time trying new colors and combinations!!!

I used Peachy Keen face stamps (Everyday face parts) for the cute cat face.
