Hello my crafty friends!  I was so inspired by all of the projects you have entered in my 'Seeing Stars' challenge, that I thought I would make a patriotic card too.  :)

I didn't use my Cricut on this card at all (gasp!). The die-cut tag is from Tattered Angels (custom cutouts rockin renaissance).  I inked the tag with Ranger Distress Ink (Walnut and Aged Mahoganey).  The eagle and the stars were pre-embossed on the tag and made to resist the ink (pretty cool!)

I used Navy Blue Crinkle Ribbon and my hand dyed Vintage Cherry Bakers Twine.  The paper is Crate Paper (red, tan scallop), My Little Shoebox (brown polka dot), and Bazzill (Solid blue).  

The stamped sentiment is from the Inside & Out #2 Stamp Set.  The button is from Fancy Pants Designs.

I love summer!  Here is a fun, Sun-Shiny card I made for DT day at Celebrate the Occasion.

The card base, cut at 5 inches, is from the Birthday Bash cartridge.

The fun papers are from an Echo Park pad (Thanks Ally!)

The sun was cut at 10.47 inches from the Wild Card cartridge and the blue circle is 3.55 inches real dial size. 

I used Lemon Drop Bakers Twine and the stamped sentiment is from Sweet Sentiments #2.

The cute face stamp is from Peachy Keen Stamps. I used glossy accents and lots of stickles (I may have overdone it!)

Easy Bakers Twine Candies!

Yesterday was my DT day over at She's a Sassy Lady so I thought I would share this fun project with all of you today.  I saw these fun bakers twine candies in the July 2011 issue of Paper Crafts Magazine and I just had to try them!  (They are super easy)

I used Honey Dew, Caribbean, and Blossom Bakers Twine.   The patterned paper is from Making Memories and Pebbles Inc.

I used dimensional squares to give the candies a little lift.

The stamped sentiment is from Sweet Sentiments #2.

I cut the circles for the candies from the George cartridge (1 inch - real dial size), the square stamp frames are from Gypsy Wanderings (Shift-tag, button #45 cut at 1.35 inches)  I used my paper cutter to cut colored squares for the inside.

I used my sewing machine to stitch around the pink patterned paper and around each of the small squares.  The border punch is from Martha Stewart (doily edge)
