Welcome to Day #1 of our stamp release party! I am so excited to show
you all of the fun projects this week! Each day we will be giving you a
sneak peek at one of five new stamp sets (plus 3 metal die sets). Then, on Saturday, we will
have a blog hop with prizes at each stop along the way. We have been
having so much fun playing with the new stamps and metal dies!!
I hope you love
this stamp set as much as I do!
Today's stamp set is Tasty Treats!
(All of the new stamps and metal dies will be available to order on Saturday!!)
Here is my project:
(All of the new stamps and metal dies will be available to order on Saturday!!)
Here is my project:
My son is now 18 years old - sigh. They grow up way too fast! He used to tell a joke when he was a little boy that was really cute. Possibly it was just the way he told it that made it so cute . . . but it inspired this sentiment, so I thought I would share . . . Why did the cookie go to the hospital? Because he was feeling crumby! :)
I thought this shape card would be fun to add to a bag of homemade cookies to take to someone who isn't feeling well.
Inside sentiment:
The cookies were cut from the Sweet Treats cartridge at 2.23" and 1.9". It is actually the center of a flower. I added a brown circle behind the cut instead of the flower and inked the edges with Walnut Distress Ink.
I cut the milk carton at 7.07 inches from the Just Because Cards cartridge. I cut a solid brown layer and then a second solid layer (white) to use for the back of the shape card.
I wanted the milk bottle to have a lid, so I cut another bottle from yellow patterned paper and then just hand trimmed the lid. I wrapped Natural jute string around the bottle and attached the tag.
Both sentiments are from the Tasty Treats stamp set. Here is another card I made using the same die cut and sentiment.
All of today's projects use the Tasty Treats stamp set.
Now its time to sit back and enjoy these projects made by my awesome Design Team!!

Gwen
Gwen's card is so fun! I love how she added her sentiment to a piece of 'popcorn'! How fun is that?! Gwen tied Lemon Tart bakers twine around her popcorn box.

Heather
I love the fun silhouette image Heather used for her gorgeous card! The polka dot and checkered papers are so fun together! Heather's bow is Green Traditional baker's twine.

GiGi
GiGi's milk carton cookie box is super cute! I love how she added the Yum! Yum! sentiments and that face is so sweet!

Sherrie
Sherrie's cupcake looks delicious! I love all of the embossing on her card and her gorgeous frame!
Sherrie also used the Tiny Tags Metal Dies, Tiny Tags 2 Stamp set and Hot Pink crinkle ribbon on her pretty card.
Robin's cup full of get well wishes is so sweet! She cut her tags from the Tiny Doilies metal dies and added Crinkle Ribbon to the top of all her tags.
I love the hotdog and mustard cuts Kate used! Soooo fun and perfect with this sentiment!
(Tags - Tiny tags metal dies and Tiny Tags 2 stamp set)
Love all of the fun details on this card!
Marlene's get well gift is so thoughtful! I love all of the great items she added and the fun way she embellished them!

Her tag is beautiful and the sentiment is from the Tasty Treats stamp set.

The tiny RX is from the Get Well Soon stamp set. She used the Tiny Doilies metal dies to cut her cute tags. Marlene tied everything on with Ivory jute string and crinkle ribbon.

Ally
Ally's card is so fun! I love the face on her lemon!

Inside of Ally's card:

Happy crafting!

First off... Wow!
ReplyDeleteLove how you thought outside the box to make your cookies. And what a cute card. What a cute layout this would make with a picture when he was a kid. You could have a speech bubble that says his joke.
It could also be a remember when page.
The DT did an awesome job on their projects.
