Halloween Tins and Pirouline Cookie Giveaway!!

Hello, my crafty friends!  Last summer my daughter got married (Click HERE for wedding pictures) and we served these delicious Pirouline cookies with dessert at her reception.  Everyone loved them and my family loved the leftovers.  Yum!

My Mom and Dad made chocolate dipped strawberries!  So pretty on the plate with the Pirouline cookie.

Needless to say, I had a LOT of empty Pirouline cookie tins left after the big event.

Chocolate Hazelnut Piroulines

So, I made a bunch of these fun Halloween tins. The Pirouline Cookie company is hosting a challenge on their blog to create cute, creative Halloween decorations out of their tins.  They saw my Halloween tins from last year and loved them!  They asked if they could use them to kick off their fun challenge and of course I said YES!

These fun treat containers are Pirouline cans purchased at the Dollar Tree (3.25 oz size) that I have covered and decorated.  I used the Tiny Doilies metal dies on the top of each can.

The stamped sentiments, pumpkin, and bat are from the Stamping All Around Fall stamp set.

For this can, I cut the 1 inch spider border for the bottom and tied midnight black crinkle ribbon around the top.

The Spooky Treats sentiment is from the Spooky Treats stamp set.

The cute little spider is from the Stamping All Around Fall stamp set and I tied Toadally Green Crinkle Ribbon around the top.

The "No Tricks just Treats' sentiment is from the Best Witches Stamp Set.

The tags are all cut from the Tiny Tags metal dies set.  I think these will make fun gifts.  :)

The Pirouline Cookie company offered to give some cookies to 3 of my lucky followers!  :)

Do you want a chance to win some of these delicious cookies?  Just leave a comment on this post!

Monday Challenge #113 - It's a sketch!

Hello, my creative friends.  I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We have a fun sketch challenge for you today!

This week's challenge is a sketch!

Check out these fun projects from my awesome design team!!:

GiGi's critter is absolutely adorable!  She framed this little cutie with a trimmed down doily (4" doily with outer edge cut off) and her stamped sentiment is from the Tasty Treats stamp set.

I love her cute bakers twine border!  Wow!

Gwen

Gwen's card is soooo fun! I love her awesome star and her banner is super! Love the bright colors!  Gwen cut her banners using the Tiny Banners & Toppers metal dies and strung it with Maraschino twine.

This is the inside of Gwen's cute card.  Both sentiments are from the Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Robin's tall notebooks are so beautiful!  I love the soft colors she used and the way she lengthened out this sketch idea!

These sweet notebooks are so pretty!  What a great idea!

Robin's cute Doily sentiment tags were cut from the Tiny Doilies metal die set and the circle stamps are from the Stamping All Around Spring stamp set.  The inside stamped sentiment (Enjoy it!) is from the Friends & Neighbors stamp set.

Robin cut her butterflies from the Small Alphabet metal die set and the stamped sentiment is from the Friends & Neighbors stamp set.

Heather's little acorns are darling!  I love her beautiful doily background and her lace and Black Licorice Traditional Twine border!  So pretty!

Heather used the 4" Doily metal die, and the Jar Full of Fall and Thank You Stamp Sets to create her awesome card.

Guest Designer - Cheryl from Shestamps!

Hello and Happy Friday!   This is Cheryl from Shestamps.    I was so excited to be asked to be a Guest Designer for My Craft Spot.    I purchased some of my favorite crinkle ribbon and baker’s twine from My Craft Spot so I jumped at the opportunity to play with some stamps.   Not only that, but Kimberly has generously offered 1 stamp set (of the winner’s choice) to one of my blog readers.  Now how fun is that?
I decided to try my hand at some Christmas cards using the Christmas-themed sentiment set, Mistletoe.  I paired the stamp set up with some of my favorite Christmas papers, some paint and a Starbucks coffee sleeve to make a set of 4 Christmas cards.

Here is a look at all the cards together.  I created a triangle template to use to cut the triangles.  Each tree is 3 layered triangles all stitched together.   I love the dimension created by the trees and the texture from the star border cut from the coffee sleeve.

Give away information!
Now for the fun part,  one lucky winner will win 1 stamp set of their choice from My Craft Spot.   So what do you have to do?    Simple!  Take a look at all the clear stamps at My Craft Spot.  Then, stop by the My Craft Spot DT post on my blog and leave your contact information in the linky tool including the name of your favorite My Craft Spot stamp set by Monday, October 1st .   (For example:  Cheryl – Mistletoe or Crafter Jane – Happy Fall)   I will use Random.org to pick the winner and post it on my blog on Tuesday, October 2nd.    Kimberly from My Craft Spot will send the stamp set to the winner.

So what are you waiting for?   Go check out all the great stamps at My Craft Spot.

DT Post by Heather - Birthday Cake Decor!

Good morning! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards to share a special project with you! Today is my youngest daughter's 9th birthday, so I have birthday's on my mind today for sure! This isn't her cake though, but a cake I made and decorated this past week for a good friend:

I created my banner by using Tiny Banners and Toppers Metal Dies, and cutting the larger size banners on a folded piece of white cardstock, which allowed me to hang them over my twine. I then cut the smaller size banners in different colors, as well as the cute toppers, and adhered them all together. I used Small Alphabet Metal Dies to create my "happy birthday" sentiment.

Finally, I folded them over some Black Twinery Twine and glued them together, and attached them to some skewers pushed into the cake to hold them up. (I also added a dot of glue to the twine where it tied on the skewer so my banners didn't land in my frosting!)

All in all, it took a while, but was a relaxing and enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon - so I didn't mind! Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful day!

DT Post by GiGi - Happy Fall y'all!

Good morning everyone! This is GiGi from The Cricut Bug and I have a card to share. I used My Craft Spot's Happy Fall stamp set on this card.

I cut the bear using my Cameo and a cut file from KaDoodle Bug Designs called Autumn Bear. I added a piece of torn paper for the ground and a Natural Jute String bow to the pumpkin.
I stamped the sentiment onto a punched scallop oval using My Craft Spot's Happy Fall stamp set. I added a black dotted line around the sentiment mat and tied some more Natural Jute String around the card.

I hope you all liked my card and thanks for visiting!
Have a great day!
GiGi
