My Craft Spot store is closing . . .

My daughter has some health problems that she has been living with since she was in the first grade.  Her health issues are aggravated by stress and lack of sleep (she is in Jr. High).  She has spent a lot of time this school year feeling sick, so she has decided that she would like to try home school starting in January.

I have thought about it a lot . . . and prayed about it . . . a lot . . . and I have decided that I need to close My Craft Spot and spend more time taking care of my family.  Family is more important to me than anything else!

I appreciate all of your support and friendship  :)

I won't be re-stocking any of my stamps and metal dies.  So, if there are any MCS stamps or metal dies on your wish list, now is the time to buy them.  Everything in the store is 30% off right now!

  1. So sorry your daughter is so ill - I think you will enjoy homeschooling and your daughter will get the rest she needs - you can do all your classes on your own time schedule - that is one great thing about homeschooling - I wish you the best - PS No I have not home schooled - I know people who have and had great success. Enjoy your day! Gail

  20. Oh no, this makes me so sad... I thought I'd stop by to wish you and yours a happy new year and I find this news. You are absolutely right, family should come first always and as a mom I understand how we sometimes need to sacrifice our personal goals or dreams to be able to take better care of our little ones and our homes. I pray that this new stage of your life can be blessed. Your daughter will forever be thankful for all you do and My Craft Spot can be relaunched in the future if you want to.

You are an example to all of us moms and crafters who need to make decisions and prioritize correctly. I too am planning to organize my time better, so I can take better care of my family and even my own health.

Thank you for your honesty, for sharing your reasons so openly. Thank you also for the opportunity given to me, for allowing me to guest design for My Craft Spot recently! Thanks for all the fun challenges and for the amazing inspiration projects your talented DT shared weekly.

I will share your sale and will browse the store for goodies on my wish list. Big hug and blessings from above!

    -Gracie.

  23. I am so sorry to hear your daughter is having health issues. My oldest grandson has severe crones disease and he is in High School. Jr. High and High School is difficult enough for kids but the added stress of a health issue makes it more difficult. You are doing the right thing for you family. I wish you and your daughter all the best and pray your daughter will get through this difficult time. I will miss seeing all of My Craft Spots beautiful creations. Take care.
