I'm ready for the cool, crisp days of Fall . . .

It's been so hot here . . . so I'm inside crafting . . . neglecting my yard a bit.  We plant a big garden and lots of flowers in the Spring with good intentions to weed every day . . . by August my yard and I are both tired of the heat and the weeds start to creep in.  :)

I cut this cookie box on my silhouette. Notice how there aren't any cookies . . . but there will be!!  It looks just the right size for a stack of 6 cookies.  Yum!

I stamped my sentiment and then cut the circle for my tag with a Sizzix die so I could line it up just the way I wanted.  The pinecone is also a Silhouette file.

I inked the tag with brown ink and then with Walnut distress ink, and then finally with a light touch of black on the outside edges.  I love the look this extra inking gives the tag.  The rest of the box is inked with just the Walnut distress ink.

Have a happy day!  I guess I better head out to do battle with the weeds.  :)

  1. Here in Central TX we have had cooler temps in 80s which is much more enjoyable than 100+ Summer temps of usual. Our high was last wk at 107. Have a Bee-utiful day from Central TX!

I always have the best of intentions with our gardens too. It is more fun to craft and bake (eat!) cookies though, isn't it?!

  6. Silly question, but I am new to the Silhouette. If I'm going to buy one, Which one did you use to cut this darling box? Thank you!

  7. I'm new to the Silhouette. Currently I just use an old Cricut. What model of Silhouette did you use to cut this cute box? Thanks!

    1. I have the Silhouette Cameo, which is older. I love my Silhouette! You will just want to make sure you get a Silhouette with a 12x12 cutting mat to cut this box. :)

  10. What a lovely cookie box! I totally recognized that pinecone file. I made two of them last Christmas to put on a mailbox that I created. I even used one of your stamps on the flag of the mailbox!
